Annotation There has been growing public concern over the possible health effects from exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) from facilities such as power lines and mobile phone base stations. This handbook is intended to support decision-makers deal with the challenges this issue raises in terms of public risk perception, as well as risk assessment and public health management when dealing with the siting of new or existing facilities. It will also be of use to other public officials, private groups and non-governmental organisations involved as well the general public in seeking to improve the decision-making process by reducing misunderstandings and improving trust through better dialogue.
